And here it is! A great afternoon at the clubhouse last Sunday where the Bathurst Aero Club, and Bathurst-based WardAir Flight Training were present with their Wings Awards with about 60 people in attendance.

Bathurst Aero Club was presented with the 2021 CASA Wings Award “Aero Club of the Year” for it’s efforts during the pandemic in keeping members engaged through offering online seminars and meetings, as well as the extraordinary efforts of the Aero Club board member, Michelle O’Hare in her programs and open days targeting local youth who have an interest in the industry.

WardAir Flight Training had the honour of receiving the 2021 CASA Wings Award “Training Organisation of the Year”. WardAir’s innovative training programmes offer guided flying adventures through the Australian Outback, and their dedication to offering flight training to remote pilots on outback stations filling a special market niche which is not catered for by either RA, or the bigger commercial training organisations.
